Question: How about ATV's

Of course bring your ATV or golf cart to the festival and enjoy the more than 1,000 acres of beautiful Kentucky countryside. Our requests for operation of an ATV at the festival are very simple and we ask that each owner sign a Notarized Affidavit acknowledging an understanding of the following guidelines:

  • ATVs may be operated only on designated paths, trails and areas.
  • Owners waive rights for compensation for any and all accidents.
  • Operation of ATVs is forbidden in the stage or concession areas!
  • Reasonable operation of ATVs regulated by festival security 24 hours.
  • There are new trails totaling in excess of 20 miles
  • There are ramps from every field to the trails
  • All operators MUST be 16 years old to operate an ATV on festival property (NO EXCEPTIONS)

Question: What's to do at Poppy Mountain (besides the world's best bluegrass music)?

  • ATV trails of course!
  • Horseback riding
  • The Poppy Mountain Train
  • Tour Bus trips on the Mountain
  • Children's activities and Youth in Bluegrass Shows
  • Showcase on Showcase Stage

  • Everything else!

Question: How many electric hookups and campsites do you have?

Over 1,200 electric/water hookups are available and unlimited primitive camping sites await you on a "first come fist served" basis. Our friendly staff will direct you in the right direction. We also provide restroom facilities conveniently located throughout and strategically placed showers around the campsite.

Question: What's the weather like? What should I wear? Do we need anything else?

Mid-September weather around Morehead is typically warm in the day with some chilly nights. You might bring a jacket for the evenings and comfortable shoes for all the walking between our great vendors, restrooms and other entertainment areas and of course, back and forth to the camper!

Question: What about chairs and seating?

First come-first served basis. Please allow our aisle ways to remain clear.
