- I would like to see how everyone is doing after this years fine festival. I would also like to mention, and hopfully i will get some replies, the awesome band that played during Saturdays supper break,...SHULTZ CREEK, and see what everyone thought about that hot young act from Greenup County Ky. Please respond and see ya next year. P.S. I had a blast on the mountain as always. Till then, Happy Poppy
- I came Friday night, when the storm came. I drove 60 miles to see IIIRD Tyme Out, the only band I ever come to see. I paid $50 for my wife and myself to get in. I was told by security that IIIrd Tyme Out would not be playing after the rain started. So I left. Is this fair? I won't be back.
- I think Tim Gilliam should have stayed with the band he had. The bunch he was with that I saw Sat. sounded terrible.
- I think that Tim sounds AWESOME with The Strangers! Tim is an awesome mandolin player, and he is a good person and add to their group! The Strangers are one of the best Traditional bluegrass bands out there today! With Scott Tackett, and Tim, the strangers are amazing! I think you must have been dreaming of a bad band, and give the strangers another try!!!!
- Whatever.
- Brian, Why would security run a show..... Come ask myself or Marty..... The severe Thunderstorm warning slowed us down a bit but after 55 minutes we were up and running again! ANY festival ( or sound tech) Shuts down sound when weather that threating gets as close as it did....
AWWWW give us another chance! Call PoppyTim... he will make it right for ya!
- 2002 was my first trip to Poppy, and like many I was in awe. I have been to festivals around the country, and never have I been to a festival with SOOO much talent in the "parking lots". I didn't get there until saturday, but the show was great (except Marty Stuart; we went to pick after 4 songs). My family and I are extremely excited and counting down the days until Poppy. We have taken vacation for the entire week and my band TIMBERLINE will be showcasing on Wednesday at 4:00. See everyone there, and HAPPY POPPY!
- Please let me know how you plan to make it right. Contact me at [email protected].
- Well, Tim, thanks for the phone call expressing your deep concern for the way I was treated (yeah right). I did not come back this year and will not be back. I know my money doesn't mean that much to ya, but how about the seven others that didn't come because of me. Good luck to ya, take care.
