To start this thread off, I have to say I'm not a paid employee of Poppy Mountain. I do the website because I love Poppy. You people need to get over this whole lineup thing!

Poppy is Poppy. There's been great Bluegrass music every year I've at Poppy, even though that's not been a ton of years. I could have paid $50 to see the whole O'Brother thing here in Cincinnati, but I want a good time for my money! That's why I do Poppy! Yeah, I bet I could find bigger, better acts elsewhere, but it's just NOT POPPY!!!!!

Again, I'm not paid by Marty or anything, but I can say that Poppy was my introduction to Bluegrass Festivals, and I've been to a bunch, and I'll always go back, and look forward to Poppy!

On a side note, go to the "Fun Stuff" page and send a friend a Poppy Mountain ePostCard. I just set this up and it's pretty cool. Give it a try.

we are so excited. we have recruited several friends to join us in our 2002 poppy mountain experience as well as old veterans who turned us on to this festival.we are sitting on go anxiously awaiting the fun and music that is to be had at poppy!!!we have already begun preparations for our sojourn from the rolling hills of southern ohio to the blue blue grass of home.dr.stanley is the main reason i will be in attendance,but am also looking forward to all the others there. i have met several people at random that will not only be in attendance,but also playing there.looking forward to the late night jams that follow the structured shows and the friendships that abound at these shows.see you on friday night.

This will be my first time at Poppy or any major bluegrass festival. Your line-up is a great line-up. If someone wants to see someone new, have them take some time and come up to the showcase stage. There is some great up and coming acts up there.

You have done a spectacular job on this website. I am soooooo impressed. I have browsed the whole site, and it's just like Poppy Mountain. It just gets better and better. Thanks for such a great cybertour of one of my favorite places. I'll stop and see you at the festival, you can be sure. Thanks again.
